Alcohol

He slowly took another swig of the warm, malt whiskey as the sun beat down on his face and the flies honed in on the only moisture for miles around. Alcohol, he thought to himself - it’s all I have left now…

Wow. There’s a lot of story in those 2-1/2 lines. With less than 40 words, you’ve really stirred my imagination, James.

Dear Sir/Madam: I’ve just come across your web-site, and am wondering if I may send you my 2 page letter, on how my beautiful late husband & myself, allowed alcohol to destroy our health.
Kindly let me know.
Many thanks.

@Corey,
I like to pick a word at random and make a simple one or two sentence story from it. Don’t ask me why. I guess it’s just another peculiarity of mine.
@Shirley Joyce Gibbs
Certainly you can send me your letter. I am just wondering why you would want to do that in this instance?
